Majestic Publications is a company defined within the Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016, as a Commercial Participator.

Majestic Publications is proud to have been the first Commercial Participator within our industry to be registered with the Fundraising Regulator. As registered members, we follow and adhere to the Code of Fundraising Practice.

We produce publications free-of charge for charities around the UK. We build relationships with companies in the client’s catchment area and sell them support advertising space within the publication. The advertising revenue is retained by Majestic Publications and covers all print, design and publication costs. The publication is provided free-of-charge to the charity client and, depending on the nature of the publication, is either sold on with the charity retaining the sales income; or is used by the charity for a particular event; or enabling them to provide information to patients or supporters.

WE ARE HONEST We tell the truth and do not exaggerate. We will never deliberately mislead or deceive you, your supporters or your potential supporters. We answer all reasonable questions about our activities

WE ARE A COMPANY OF INTEGRITY We are a family business and are principled, honourable and upright. We are clear about who we are, what we do, and how companies’ support is used and how it benefits the charity client. We will always do the right thing, even if it means telling a client we can’t deliver something they really want.

WE ARE TRUSTWORTHY AND KEEP OUR PROMISES We do what we say we are going to do. We tell the truth and do not exaggerate. If we tell you your publications will be with you during the first week of October, they will be with you in the first week of October. We will not over-commit in order to gain your business.

WE GIVE BACK Giving back is important to us as a family and a company. We are proud to share our knowledge and expertise with the charities that we work with. We give financial gifts and services in kind where we can. We regularly sponsor events or awards and pay to attend events and dinners in aid of our clients. It is also very common to see us taking part in our clients’ sponsored events and be abseiling off a tall building or taking part in a Midnight Walk. We are proud to be a Partner of the Hospice Income Generation Network and directly sponsor the organisation’s work in training, supporting and developing Hospice Fundraisers in the work that they do.

WE ARE LOYAL We pride ourselves on the relationships we’ve built and retained with clients over many years. We see ourselves as an extension of the charity’s own in-house team and will roll our sleeves up and get stuck-in.

WE ARE FAIR We are friendly, pleasant and clear in our dealings with clients and potential corporate supporters. We take care to be effective and successful for our clients but take care not to cause unreasonable nuisance or disruption.

WE HAVE CONCERN FOR OTHERS We are caring, compassionate, benevolent and kind. We are aware that often, our charity clients help those in need or in serious ill health. We keep this at the forefront of our minds when seeking advertising support and seek to achieve maximum support but in a manner that causes the least harm and the greatest positive good.

WE ARE RESPECTFUL Treat others in the way you would like to be treated yourself. Ethical executives demonstrate respect for the human dignity, autonomy, privacy, rights, and interests of all those who have a stake in their decisions; they are courteous and treat all people with equal respect and dignity regardless of sex, race or national origin.

WE ARE LAW ABIDING We abide by laws, rules and regulations relating to our business activities. We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator as a Commercial Participator. As required by PECR, we hold a Corporate Telephone Preference License. Our systems are all GDPR compliant. We work closely with the Charity Commission and the Fundraising Regulator, ensuring we are at the forefront of understanding and engaging with the regulation of our industry.

Our work has been recognised in 2019 with an award for Outstanding Contribution to the Hospice Movement by the then National Association of Hospice Fundraisers. We were proud to have our ethos and excellence recognised in Jane’s winning of the Family Business Director of the Year Award, at the 2017 North West Institute of Directors Awards.

WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE Our staff recognise the responsibility that comes with representing charity clients and take personal accountability for the ethical quality of their decisions and actions. We record all of our sales calls and undertake regular training with our staff team. We do not buy or sell and data relating to charities or to advertisers. All information is kept securely.
